The Role
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our platforms secure, scalable, and running smoothly for universities and venues worldwide.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across AWS and Azure, automate wherever possible, and collaborate closely with our DevOps and product teams. You’ll help build and maintain resilient cloud environments that underpin critical services, while continuously improving security, reliability, and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
This is a hands-on infrastructure role focused on stability, automation, and continuous improvement.
Own infrastructure-related support tickets, driving issues through to root cause and resolution
Build and maintain highly available cloud environments using Terraform, Ansible, and automation tooling
Troubleshoot AWS and Azure components including VMs, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, and backup services
Support software releases in collaboration with the DevOps team
Improve cloud security, reliability, and performance across environments
Drive automation across infrastructure and deployment workflows
Ensure alignment with security standards such as ISO27001 and PCI-DSS
Document fixes, processes, and improvements to strengthen internal knowledge sharing
What You’ll Bring
Core Technical Skills
Hands-on experience working with AWS and Azure
Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform
Solid Ansible skills with clean, maintainable playbook practices
Deep understanding of cloud networking including VNETs, VPNs, proxies, and firewalls
Confidence troubleshooting Windows environments, Active Directory, and complex cloud setups
Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and release processes
Familiarity with SQL Server, SMTP, IIS, and related infrastructure services
Ways of Working
Experience working with ticketing systems such as Jira and improving support workflows
Ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to non-technical teams
Awareness of real-world cloud security best practices
Curiosity about AI tools and how they can practically improve infrastructure and operations
